My mission is to support grieving women beyond the initial shock of loss.

My name is Mary Reas-Oden. I founded Rainbow Box based on my professional experience as a social worker and on my personal experience as a widow. Both have given me a unique understanding of how to support grieving women with compassion and competency. 

I am eternally grateful for the support I received during the months and years after my husband's death, but I realized that not everyone is so lucky. A lot of widows and grieving women receive support in the initial stages of loss (ex. meals, visits, flowers, etc.), but are left without support as they move forward, even just a few months down the road.

Unfortunately, shortly after the funeral ends and the flowers fade, few know what else to do for her! Even the widow herself is often unsure how to move forward.

That's where Rainbow Box comes in:

Grief Support:

I am passionate about supporting people on their journeys of love and loss. And I believe deeply in the potential for "posttraumatic growth." We all have the ability to heal and move forward. The "how" of that process can get a little tricky. That's why I offer virtual Grief Coaching sessions, in addition to Rainbow Box subscriptions. Grief Coaching is a wonderful tool for those who feel they could use help setting practical goals and learning how to navigate the "new chapters" of life after loss.
